Missy has settled in perfectly. She is a doll. Her size and markings are a
little misleading. She loves attention and affection. If we are going
somewhere she will patiently wait to go. And when invited she doesn't hesitate
loading up. Missy is a wonderful rider, she stays quite calm while in the car.
She does love to get her head as close to the front as possible. I have even
ridden in the back seat just so I wouldn't have to disturb her and the seat
she had already chosen before I arrived. I guess she called "shot gun" before
I did. Missy does has a little bit of a temperament issue when the food comes
out. She lives with two other dogs and she doesn't mind trying to steal their
food and then telling them to get lost. Missy is progressively getting better
than what she was with us on day one. We have had Missy camping and hiking.
She was a little slow and awkward on a leash our first couple of trips but she
is becoming a natural hiker. We haven't had a single issue with her in the
camper either, she just follows along and does what we ask of her. One
intriguing thing we have noticed of her: she doesn't like stairs. She has
figured out the stairs to the upstairs but won't attempt the stairs to the
basement. Maybe it's just a fear of basements, my son gets scared in the
basement also. Missy rarely has accidents and the few times it was my fault
because I got distracted by my own 'to do's" and forgot about her needs. She
does, sit and come. She also comes to the sound of a bell.
