Your Companion Messages Will Be Here!

Mace is only 1-1/2 years old. He is a tall fellow with the Shar Pei, skin and ears. He looks worried all the time with the extra skin. Mace is extremely sweet and also shy. He had never been inside a home, and carefully stepped into my home and visited for a few minutes. Since the first venture, he comes in and has a spot by the patio door or a crate. I know he isn't housetrained, but he has never made a potty mess. We haven't had him on a leash as yet. Letting him find his way first. He isn't a barker, a chewer, or a counter surfer. We are working on the cat thing. He sits quietly and waits for his meals. The raw food diet is growing on him. Mace will now eat the lettuce and all his veggies mixed with raw meat, olive oil, vitamins, garlic, some dry food, and water. He is going to be a very loyal dog to someone who deserves him.

UPDATE 11/12/07
He imitated play with Bob and Patsy and Birdy. He has this noise that comes from deep inside him when he plays. It is a constant tone. Quite interesting! He is getting very used to being in the house. Will crate on his own sometimes, too.

UPDATE 12/03/07
Mace is the tall-quiet guy!  He seems to be housetrained.  Mace is easy to crate, is quiet and likes his TLC.  I took him out for a walk on the gentle leader and he was just perfect!  He isn't food aggressive, waits his turn to be fed.  Bob, Tom, Birdie, Patsy and Mace can be seen running and chasing each other, wrestling, and playing tug of war.  Mace loves his raw bones! He can tilt his head when I am talking to him and act like he is trying to figure out the conversation.  The only vice Mace has is, he is cat aggressive.  Only because he has never been around them in a domestic setting.  The grandkids think he is something special!   He is a love and deserves the best!

UPDATE 3/11/08
Mace is battling demodex. He is a real trooper! This dog is a gentle giant of dogs! At the vet's office, they were so impressed with his quiet qualities and sweetness as they scrubbed his poor body and knowing it hurt him something awful! I am always looking for Mace in the house, because he is so quiet! He is playful and loving! He is housetrained and crate trained. Mace's poor beginnings have probably created his demodex. His immune system was compromised and no where to go but down. He is on herbal remedies, the best food, antibiotics, and lots of TLC to bring his system up and running. He is a beautiful dog and would like a home that deserves him! He is getting much better at the cats. He sniffs Hazel, my cat. At the vet clinic, there are cats running all over and he looks at them and then at me. He does really well!
