Herbie is full of personality and will steal your heart. He enjoys playtime, grooming and of course, loves to cuddle. He is a sincerely loyal fellow (loves his foster dad!). He gets along well with other dogs; but is not fond of cats. Herbie was picked up by our local PD as a stray running the streets. His owners were contacted; but they left without paying the impoundment charge. Hoping they would return for Herbie, the PD waited for 3 weeks.

After that 3 week period, we took Herbie into our rescue.

Herbie was neutered, brought up to date on his shots and given a dental. During his dental, it was discovered that his mandible was simply hanging loose in his mouth, due to an oral tumor. We cannot imagine how painful that must have been for him. His mandible was removed and the tumor sent in for testing. Thankfully, the tumor was benign! Herbie has made a full recovery.
