Sweet little Rubie was found wandering on a golf course. A
kind woman and her son noticed that there was something wrong with her jaw. An
onlooker offered to place Rubie's head under his vehicle tire and run her
over... Mortified, the woman and her son took Rubie to the safety of their home
and then called us. Two days later, with x-rays, our Vet discovered 3 breaks in
Rubie's lower jaw. One break was pinned, the other two were wired. Rubie spent 2
weeks at our vet clinic (she was the best little pup!). She had to wear a muzzle
in order to give her jaw stability while it was healing. Rubie is currently in
foster care and is being monitored very closely, as her jaw continues to heal.
For all this darling girl has been through, she has the spirit of a little
trooper! Rubie will be available for adoption when we
have final confirmation and a release from our Vet. Rubie is doing great with
house training. Rubie is current on shots and will be spayed prior to adoption.
The photos of Rubie are before and after her surgery. Rubie is up-to-date with
routine shots and spayed/neutered.
Please read about our "Adoption" process prior to filling out an application.
